More agreement with the "Happy Pipe" concept

One of the options covered in the recent Disruptive Analysis / Telco 2.0 report on broadband strategies was that of the "Happy Pipe", as discussed in my post the other day.

So it's interesting to see Amdocs' announcement of a study it's done with the Economist Intelligence Unit, which appears to make much the same point.

Linked in with this theme is another recent study from NSN about the cost-effectiveness of providing raw mobile broadband capacity.

Coupled with a couple of presentation at the LTE event this morning from operators that said "we want to be a profitable pipe.... and sell other stuff too", this definitely seems to be an emerging theme.
